Education where you live

Together with our partners, MCC joins with committed board members, developers, ambassadors and community members who want to make a difference. MCC is dedicated to connecting students and the community to engaging learning experiences designed to deliver information, stimulate growth, support the economy and serve the surrounding neighborhood.

MCC North Express encompasses more than 9,000 square feet on the third floor of the community Accelerator building. The learning center is strategically positioned in the middle of the neighborhood, enabling students and community members the ability to have educational resources close by. Services provided are purposefully designed as stepping stones to initiate next steps toward college or a career.

Transformative Learning

CONTINUING EDUCATION

Book knowledge comes to life through versatile learning environments and practical application. We offer a full continuum of learning opportunities ranging from age three through retirement. MCC/CE strives to meet the lifelong learning needs of the greater Omaha community by offering high-quality, accessible, innovative and responsive education and training programs to learners of all ages by building on the strengths of and collaborating with the resources within the college and community.

Science on a Sphere

MCC North Express currently houses Nebraska’s only Science on a Sphere. In collaboration with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, MCC has developed a multitude of informative and engaging SOS programs that appeal to community and school audiences.  The visually stunning display engages students by showing educational “movies” starring science. Topics include space, atmosphere, ocean, land, astronomy and climate.

Adult Education

The College has a long tradition of offering developmental education services that assist students who are at a pre-college level attain the skills necessary to be successful in college-level coursework. This focus is emphasized through a commitment to student success, student-centered learning and teaching excellence. Certification and Assessment

Today’s workplace requires workers who communicate more effectively, think creatively and develop strategies for personal and workplace success.

Through MCC’s Workplace Training Academy, local employees and employers can receive high-quality, focused education and training that results in portable credentials and job placement.

Re-entry Assistance Program

The 180 Re-Entry Assistance Program provides re-entry services and support to individuals transitioning from correctional facilities. MCC's 180 RAP helps this population make a successful transition into college or a career.
