The Metropolitan Utilities District is proud to sponsor two $500 scholarships annually to Metropolitan Community College students that will support culinary students and students pursuing the trades. Natural gas is the number one choice for professional chefs. There are many benefits to using natural gas as it is a clean, efficient, and abundant fuel. M.U.D. believes their most important asset is their employees. M.U.D. provides opportunities to strengthen skills and knowledge while using the latest technologies. To help develop the future workforce, M.U.D. is supporting students in MCC’s Career and Technical Education programs including (but not limited to): Architectural Design Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction and Building Science, Electrical Technology, Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Plumbing, Industrial and Commercial Trades, Mechanical Drafting Technology, Precision Machine Technology, Process Operations Technology, Utility Line Technician and Welding Technology. Scholarship may be used for tuition and fees.
Scholarship Criteria:
- Financial need may be considered but is not required
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
- Pursuing a degree in the Culinary Arts and Management program or a degree in the trades
Scholarships are usually offered during the spring and fall quarters. Scholarship availability varies depending on donor giving.
