Ray and Betty Barr Memorial Scholarship

The Ray and Betty Barr Memorial Scholarship was established in 1995 in memory of Betty Barr. She was a longtime Nebraska educator and former Metropolitan Community College Board of Governors member. The purpose of this fund is to provide support for a female student who is pursuing an associate degree. The scholarship may be used for tuition, books and educational supplies.

Scholarship Criteria:

  • Financial need is required
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0
  • Citizenship not required, but must be living/working legally in U.S.
  • Female recipient strongly preferred

Scholarships are usually offered during the spring and fall quarters. Scholarship availability varies depending on donor giving.
