2023 New-to-Medicare Workshop by VAS Medicare can be confusing and the decisions you make at initial enrollment may be hard to change later. This workshop will explain Medicare in simple, easy to understand terms to help you to make informed decisions about your Medicare options. No cost, but advanced registration is required. Medicare Counseling by VAS Medicare is complicated and changes every year, the decisions you make at initial enrollment may be hard to change later. At this private Medicare session, a certified Medicare counselor will review Original Medicare and Medicare Advantage options in easy-to-understand terms to help you to make informed decisions about your Medicare plan. No cost, but advanced registration is required. NOTE: VAS will contact you before your session to collect additional information. Digital Library Basics Learn how to access digital library materials and resources to check-out books, videos, and DVDs. Douglas County residents can access their Omaha Public Library account to borrow OPL materials to have delivered to the Digital Express to pick up. Not an OPL card holder? We can help Douglas County residents obtain an OPL Card. No cost, but advanced registration is required. Monday, June 12, 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Digital Library Audiobooks, eBooks, Streaming Videos, and More Learn how to access library audiobooks and eBooks; digital magazines using Flipster; full-text newspapers, magazines, and journals; streaming documentaries, classic and indie films using Kanopy and how to use the NebraskaAccess portal for online information only available to Nebraska residents. Family Cyber Saturday Looking for a fun family tech activity? Bring your family to the Digital Express to learn about the technology devices including gaming consoles, Nintendo Switch, Raspberry Pi’s, robots, 3-D printer and other tech devices you can use and participate in a fun tech activity. Tech Talk, Support and Meetup Join us for a conversation about a current technology trend or tip and learn about the Digital Express technology devices, services, and spaces you can use while enjoying a treat on us. Bring your questions and device for one-on-one assistance. Have a device that needs repair? Bring your laptop, tablet, or mobile phone to our certified technicians in Reboot Central for a no-cost diagnosis; you pay only the cost for the part(s) for repair.
