Noncredit English as a Second Language Classes are Free

Who we are

Metropolitan Community College Adult Education provides noncredit English Language (ESL) classes for non-English speaking individuals living in the Omaha area. The classes focus on basic English skills.

Program Description

ESL classes are offered at various locations throughout the metropolitan Omaha area.

  • Fremont Area Center Campus: 835 N. Broad St. (Fremont, Nebraska)
  • Learning Community Center-North: 1612 N. 24th St. (Omaha, Nebraska)
  • MCC Express South Campus: 3002 S. 24th St. (Omaha, Nebraska)
  • Mockingbird Elementary School: 5100 S. 93rd St. (Ralston, Nebraska)

ESL classes require students to:

  • Be 18 years old, or older
  • Be a Nebraska resident (you do NOT have to be a US citizen).
  • Attend an information meeting
  • Attend a two-week introductory class
  • Attend class regularly

Other Learning Opportunities

We also provide computer classes for students wanting to improve their computer skills and conversational English classes for students who cannot attend a class regularly.
