Helpful apps for the mobile library user. A note to screen reader users: The list of items below is a collection of clickable tabs. Details for each item are below the tabs.

Select a tab to learn about an app for a specific database or service.

  • Audiobooks - Listen to audiobooks on your device.
  • EBSCO databases - Search for articles and eBooks available in an EBSCOhost database.
  • Films on Demand - Watch documentaries on your device.
  • Flipster - Read digital magazines.
  • Gale databases - Read eBooks and articles available in a Gale database, including Gale eBooks, Literature Resource Center and Opposing Viewpoints.
  • Kanopy - Watch documentaries as well as classic and indie films.

Read magazine, newspaper and journal articles, download and read eBooks, save articles and search results for future reference.

Instructions

After downloading the app, you must link it to MCC.

  1. Open the app and tap Get started.
  2. Search for and select Metropolitan Community College.
  3. Sign on with your MCC username and password.

In order to link the app to MCC, you must first create a personal account in Films on Demand.

  1. Access Films on Demand
  2. Click on Your Profile (upper right)
  3. Click Sign Up (bottom) to create an account
  4. Open the app
  5. Sign in to your personal account

  2. Tap Find University, search for Metropolitan Community College, then select it from the list.
  3. Sign in with your MCC username and password.
  4. Create a personal account.
  5. An email will be sent to the email address you used when you created your account. Click the link to verify your account.
