Union Pacific Railroad established this scholarship in 2022. Throughout its existence, the success of Union Pacific’s business has been inextricably linked to the economic and community well-being of the communities in which they exist. More than ever, Union Pacific is committed to helping people achieve family-supporting careers like those offered by Union Pacific and in providing resources to help educate and prepare people for middle skill jobs. The Union Pacific Railroad scholarship helps MCC students achieve their educational goals.
Students must be considered in good standing by Metropolitan Community College (MCC) to be eligible. Eligible programs of study are: Associate degree in Finance, Accounting, Paralegal; or a certificate or an associate degree in: Electrical Technology (ETAAS), Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Construction and Building Science – Construction Management (CBCMO), Welding Technology, Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technology (EMAAS); Diesel Technology; and CDL – A Truck Driving, and Critical Facilities Operations Technology.
This scholarship provides funding for tuition and fees.
Eligibility Criteria:
- All MCC students
- Financial need not required
- Full- or part-time students
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
Scholarships are usually offered during the spring and fall quarters. Scholarship availability varies depending on donor giving.
