MCC Foundation Board Past President
Terry McMullen is the co-branch owner of AIT Worldwide Logistics-Omaha. With more than 40 years in the transportation industry, Terry and his wife Lori co-founded T.L.K. Air Care, Inc., in July of 1991, which is currently doing business as AIT Worldwide Logistics-Omaha. TLK is a Nebraska company that has grown from just two employees to over 30 transport specialists, serving hundreds of clients across the Midwest with global supply chain needs for all import, export and domestic transportation modes.
McMullen was instrumental in reactivating the Omaha Foreign Trade Zone in 2006 and, after sitting empty for more than 20 years, it has seen annual use since August 2006. Cargo Zone, LLC is the "General Purpose Zone Operator" for FTZ #19, acting on behalf of the Grantee - the Omaha Chamber of Commerce. Material that is imported from around the World can sit duty free, until needed for U.S. Commerce. McMullen is the president of Cargo Zone LLC.
McMullen served as an MCC Foundation Board Member from 2009 through 2016 and as the MCCF President in 2012. With a return to MCCF in 2018, he is serving as the Immediate Past President on the Executive Board in 2019 and is passionate about the mission of MCC.
His other community and board engagement is focused on workforce development in the transportation, distribution, and logistics industry here in Nebraska. He has worked with Heartland Workforce Solutions, serving from 2012 to 2018, and on the Executive Committee as Business and Industry Chair 2014 through 2017. McMullen is currently involved with Midwest International Trade Association, the Nebraska Trucking Association, the District Export Council “DEC Nebraska” and Nebraska Logistics Council.
