About the MCC Insurance Producer Program
This program satisfies pre-licensing requirements for Nebraska Property & Casualty and Nebraska Life & Health Insurance Producer Licenses. Successful participants obtain Nebraska Insurance producer licenses qualifying them for positions such as Insurance Agent, Insurance Producer, Account Managers and Customer Services Representatives. Candidates for this program should have strong communication skills and a desire to help people.
Career Outlook:
Insurance producers sell life, property, casualty, health, automotive, or other types of insurance, and may refer clients to independent brokers, work as an independent broker, or be employed by an insurance company.
The Nebraska Department of Labor, Office of Labor Market Information projects demand for Insurance Agents in Nebraska will grow 9.97% between 2016 - 2026 with an average annual wage of $56,829.

Pre-requisite:

Participants are provided with an introduction to the life and health insurance business to successfully prepare for the Nebraska life, annuities, accident, and health insurance license exam. Topics include insurance coverage, policies, federal and state regulations, risk management, underwriting, pricing, funding alternatives, contracts, provisions, annuities, medical plans, individual insurance, group insurance, accident insurance, disability income, and more.

Nebraska Insurance Producer: Property and Casualty
Participants gain an introduction to the field of property and casualty insurance business to successfully prepare for the Nebraska Property and Casualty Insurance Producer license exam. Topics include needs of individuals and organizations for protection, fire, accident, theft, property damage, flood, liability insurance, and legal environment of insurance products. Basic concepts of Commercial Package Policy, Worker Compensation, business owners, and homeowners are also covered.
