MCC to host Cinco de Mayo Celebration on May 2

OMAHA, Neb. — Metropolitan Community College will host the annual Cinco de Mayo Celebration on Thursday, May 2, noon-1:30 p.m. inside room 120 of the Industrial Training Center at the South Omaha Campus, 2909 Edward Babe Gomez Ave. The celebration will feature keynote speaker Theresa K. Barron-McKeagney, Ph.D., associate dean for the College of Public Affairs and Community Service at the University of Nebraska Omaha, and musical entertainment from Mariachi Omaha.

Seating is limited. Reservations close on April 24 or when full. General admission is $20. MCC personnel and retirees receive a discount at $15 and students can register for $10. Lunch will be provided by La Mesa Mexican Restaurant.
