Media alert: MCC Nursing students to swap stethoscopes for hammers tomorrow with Habitat for Humanity

What: Metropolitan Community College Nursing students will take a break from their usual coursework to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. It’s part of the Student Nurses Association’s sponsorship with the nonprofit.

“We try to encourage our students to make an impact,” said Kevin Littleman, MCC Student Nurses Association lead. “While we use our nursing skills at places like shelters and veterans homes, giving back to the community in other ways teaches teamwork and development.”

When: Thursday, Oct. 17 from 9 a.m-2 p.m.
